Want to print wirelessly from your laptop or phone? Many wireless printers work with ASK4, but they often need a bit of extra setup. Here's how to get yours online.
Step 1 - Connect your printer to ASK4 Wireless
Start by putting the printer into WiFi setup mode. This process varies by manufacturer:
HP – Use the printer control panel: Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
Canon – Menu > Network Settings > Wireless LAN setup
Epson – Home > WiFi Setup > WiFi Setup Wizard
Brother – Settings > Network > WLAN > Setup Wizard
Choose ASK4 Wireless when prompted.
If the printer asks for a password, or fails to connect – don’t worry. Most models can’t complete login until they’re registered.
Step 2 - Register the printer manually
Because most printers can't open a web browser, you'll need to register it from another device:
Go to https://myaccount.ask4.com on your phone or laptop
Log in with your ASK4 account
Select Add a device manually
Enter your printer’s MAC address
Click Enable this device
Step 3 - Find the printer’s MAC address
The MAC address can usually be found in one of these ways:
Printer control panel: Navigate to Settings > Network > Wireless Settings > View MAC Address
On the sticker or label: Look for “MAC” or “Wi-Fi Address” on the back or bottom of the printer
Printed network report: Most printers let you print a report from the settings menu that includes the MAC address
A MAC address looks like: F8:4D:89:2A:CC:44
Step 4 - Restart and test
Once the device is registered:
Turn off the printer, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on
Make sure it reconnects to ASK4 Wireless
Try printing a test page or scanning from your connected laptop or phone
Can I print from other devices?
Yes – once your printer is online, you can print from any device connected to the same network, including your laptop or phone.
4Network allows wireless communication between your printer and other devices.
Tips
Some printers only support 2.4GHz – ASK4 Wireless includes this band
