Getting your Apple HomePod or HomePod mini online with ASK4 is quick and easy. Follow the steps below to make sure it connects properly.
Step 1 - Connect your phone or tablet to ASK4 Wireless
Before you can set up your HomePod, make sure your iPhone or iPad is already connected to ASK4 Wireless, the open registration network.
On your iOS device, open Settings > Wi-Fi
Choose ASK4 Wireless
Wait for it to connect
If you're prompted with a sign-in page, complete registration if this is your first time online.
Step 2 - Set up your HomePod
Once your phone or tablet is online:
Plug in your HomePod
Bring your iOS device close to it – the setup screen should appear automatically
Follow the instructions to add it to your home network
When prompted for a network, it should automatically use the one your iPhone is connected to (ASK4 Wireless)
Your HomePod will now attempt to connect – but it needs to be registered first.
Step 3 - Register your HomePod manually
Because HomePod can't display a login page, you’ll need to register it manually:
Go to https://myaccount.ask4.com on your phone or laptop
Log into your ASK4 account
Tap Add a device manually
Enter your HomePod's MAC address
Click Enable this device
Step 4 - Find your MAC address
To find your HomePod’s MAC address:
Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad
Tap and hold your HomePod
Scroll down and tap the Settings cog
Look for the Wi-Fi Address – that’s your MAC address
It will look something like A4:CF:12:34:56:78
Step 5 - Reboot and reconnect
Restart your HomePod
It should now connect to ASK4 Wireless and come online automatically
Troubleshooting tips
Make sure ASK4 Wireless was selected during setup
If you're not seeing the setup screen, restart your iOS device and HomePod
