Want to stream music over WiFi with your Sonos speaker? Follow these steps to connect it to the ASK4 network.
Step 1 - Plug in and set up your Sonos speaker
Power on your Sonos speaker and wait for the LED to start flashing
Download and open the Sonos app on your phone or tablet
Follow the on-screen steps until it asks to connect the speaker to WiFi
If you've set it up before, reset the speaker to factory settings before reconnecting.
Step 2 - Connect your phone to ASK4 Wireless
To start setup, your phone must be on ASK4 Wireless:
Go to your device’s WiFi settings
Choose ASK4 Wireless
Complete login at https://myaccount.ask4.com if prompted
This ensures your phone can pass WiFi credentials to the Sonos speaker.
Step 3 - Select ASK4 Wireless in the Sonos app
In the app, when prompted to select a WiFi network, choose ASK4 Wireless
If it attempts to connect but fails, continue anyway — this is expected
Complete the app setup so the speaker appears in your device list
Sonos speakers can’t open a browser to complete registration, so you’ll need to do it manually.
Step 4 - Register your Sonos speaker manually
Log in to https://myaccount.ask4.com from your phone or computer
Select Add a device manually
Enter the MAC address of your Sonos speaker
Click Enable this device
Step 5 - Find the MAC address
There are a few ways to find your speaker’s MAC:
In the app: Go to Settings > System > About My System
On the speaker: Look for a label on the back or bottom that shows the MAC address
Printed documentation: Some boxes or setup guides include this info
A MAC address looks like: 34:7C:4F:92:18:BC
Step 6 - Restart and test
Unplug the speaker, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in
Re-open the Sonos app
Your speaker should now be listed as “online” and ready to use
Tips
Sonos speakers only support 2.4GHz WiFi – this is included in ASK4 Wireless
If you're trying to group multiple speakers, ensure they’re all online and on the same account
