Smart watches like Apple Watch, Galaxy Watch, and other fitness trackers typically connect to the internet via your phone, but in some cases, they can connect directly to WiFi. Here’s how to get your watch online with ASK4.
Step 1 - Check how your watch connects
Most smart watches connect in one of two ways:
Via your phone – the watch uses your phone’s internet (Bluetooth tethering or mobile app pairing)
Direct WiFi support – some models support direct WiFi login (common in Apple Watch Series 3+, Galaxy Watch, etc.)
If your device only connects via Bluetooth, you won’t need to register the watch separately.
Step 2 - Connect your phone to ASK4 Wireless
Before setting up a direct WiFi connection, make sure your paired phone is already connected to ASK4 Wireless:
Open WiFi settings on your phone
Select ASK4 Wireless
Complete registration at https://myaccount.ask4.com if needed
This step ensures your phone can pass network credentials to your watch during setup.
Step 3 - Try to connect your watch to ASK4 Wireless
For Apple Watch
Open the Watch app on your iPhone
Go to General > Wi-Fi
Choose ASK4 Wireless
If asked, enter the same credentials as your iPhone
Apple Watch may attempt to use your phone’s WiFi settings if it’s already paired.
For Android / Galaxy Watch
Swipe down from the top of the watch face
Tap Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi
Select ASK4 Wireless
Enter password if prompted (if your account uses a password-secured SSID)
Some watches may struggle with captive portals (login pages). If it doesn’t connect, try the manual registration steps below.
Step 4 - Register your watch manually (if needed)
If your watch connects to ASK4 Wireless but still shows no internet:
Log into https://myaccount.ask4.com from your phone or laptop
Select Add a device manually
Enter the watch’s MAC address
Click Enable this device
Step 5 - Find your MAC address
Apple Watch
On the watch, go to Settings > General > About
Scroll to Wi-Fi Address
Galaxy Watch or others
Open Settings > About > Device > Wi-Fi MAC address
A MAC address looks like 84:38:35:1C:A2:11
Step 6 - Final checks
Restart the watch
Ensure it’s connected to ASK4 Wireless
Open any apps that require internet to test connectivity
Tips
Some watches only connect through your phone — if that’s the case, you don’t need to register them
