If you're trying to connect a new device and get an error saying you've reached your device limit, it means you've already registered the maximum number of devices allowed by your package.
Don't worry — you can still get connected by removing an old device or upgrading your service.
Step 1 - Check your current devices
Log in to your account
Under Manage My Devices, review what’s currently registered
Look for devices you no longer use (like old phones, tablets, or laptops).
Step 2 - Remove an old device
To make room:
Click Manage My Devices
Select a device you no longer need
Click Delete Device
You should now be able to register your new one.
Step 3 - Add your new device
Already have an ASK4 account and want to get another device online? The steps to add devices depend on which networks are available in your building.
Which network do you see in your WiFi settings?
I can see "ASK4 Resident"
- On your new device, open the WiFi settings and connect to ASK4 Resident.
- Enter your personal WiFi passphrase when prompted. This is the passphrase you received when you first signed up - you can also find it in MyAccount at https://myaccount.ask4.com.
- Your device is automatically added to your account and is now online.
Alternatively, log into myaccount.ask4.com, select "Connection Info" and scan the QR code to connect.
No web browser? No problem! Your device connects automatically once the passphrase is entered - no separate registration needed.
Can't remember your passphrase?
Log in to https://myaccount.ask4.com to view or reset it.
Note: If you reset your passphrase, you'll need to re-enter it on all your connected devices.
Having trouble?
Try turning WiFi off and back on or forget the network and reconnect.
I can see "ASK4 Wireless" (but not "ASK4 Resident")
- Connect to ASK4 Wireless 802.1x
- Log in using the username and password you chose when you signed up. Note: your username is not your email address.
- Your device will be registered to your account automatically.
Having trouble?
Try turning WiFi off and back on or forget the network and reconnect.
Device without a browser (e.g. games console, smart TV)? See: Adding a device without an Internet browser
The network names above are the standard ASK4 defaults - your building may use slightly different names. If you're unsure, check your welcome information or contact Support.
Step 4 - Upgrade your package (optional)
If you frequently hit the device limit, you may want to upgrade:
Go to Buy Add-ons in your ASK4 account
Look for 4Connect or 4Connect Plus
Follow the instructions to complete your purchase
If you don’t see any upgrades available, contact ASK4 Support to check your building’s options.
