Ready to get gaming and wondering how to connect your games console? Whether it's a PlayStation, Xbox or Switch, this guide walks you through getting connected to the ASK4 network using a WiFi or wired connection.
Connecting using ASK4 Wireless
Navigate through your console’s WiFi settings to connect to ASK4 Wireless:
PlayStation (PS4/PS5)
- Go to Settings > Network > Set Up Internet Connection
- Choose Use Wi-Fi > Easy
- Select ASK4 Wireless
Xbox (One/Series X|S)
- Go to Settings > General > Network Settings
- Select Set up wireless network
- Choose ASK4 Wireless
Nintendo Switch
- Go to System Settings > Internet > Internet Settings
- Select ASK4 Wireless
Connecting Wired (Preferred)
A wired connection is ideal for faster speeds and less lag when gaming.
- Connect an Ethernet cable to the port on your console
- Plug the other end into the wall Ethernet port in your room
- On your console, go to Network Settings and choose Wired Connection
It should connect instantly, but you’ll still need to register it.
Register the console's MAC address using another device
Consoles don’t support the ASK4 registration popup, so use your phone or laptop instead:
- Log into https://myaccount.ask4.com
- Find your console’s MAC address (see below)
- Enter the Device Name and MAC address
- Click Add New Device
How to find your MAC address
PlayStation
Settings > System > System Information
Xbox
Settings > General > Network Settings > Advanced Settings
Nintendo Switch
System Settings > Internet > System MAC Address
(Switch does not support wired unless docked with an adapter)
It will look like: 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E
Final steps
- Restart your console
- Try using a game or app
- If it's still not online, double-check the MAC address, try a different Ethernet cable or try rebooting your console
