How Do I Set Up My Devices For 4Network?

After your device MAC addresses have been registered to your ASK4 account and 4Network has been enabled, your devices should be able to communicate with one another over the ASK4 Ethernet or wireless LAN’s.
    1. Go to myaccount.ask4.com
    2. Log in with the username and password you chose at Signup:

    1. Go to the “Manage My Devices” section:

    1. Click the big slider switch to enable 4Network (if the switch doesn’t work, you need to purchase the 4Connect-Plus add-on or 4Network is not available at your site):
a. Disabled: 4Network Disabled b. Enabled: 4Network Enabled  
  • 4Network is now enabled for all your devices:

  • If the device you want to use with 4Network is not visible, you need to add it by pressing the blue “+ Add New Device” Button:

  • If you are unable to add another device, you have reached your device limit and will need to purchase 4Connect or remove one of your other devices. For step-by-step instructions on how to register an additional device to your ASK4 account please refer to this page.
  • Your devices are now ready to use and should have visibility of one another across the Network.

Windows 10 Users:

  1. Right click on the Windows start button in the bottom left corner of the desktop.
  2. Within the menu that appears click on “Command Prompt”.
  3. Within the command prompt type “ipconfig /all” (without the quotation marks) and then press enter.
  4. Locate the sub-heading for “Wireless LAN adaptor” and look for the “Physical address”. It will be in a format similar to “00-11-22-33-DD-EE”. The physical address is the MAC address of the network adaptor.
  5. When you’ve located the physical address, replace the hyphens “-” with colons “:”. For example, “00-11-22-33-DD-EE” would now be formatted as “00:11:22:33:DD:EE”.
  6. You should now have the MAC address of your device and you’ll be able to add this to your ASK4 account.

Mac OSX Users:

  1. From your desktop, click the Apple icon in the top left corner of the screen.
  2. Click on the “System Preferences” link.
  3. Select the “Wi-Fi” adaptor on the left of the page, then click on the “Advanced” button.
  4. Click on the “Hardware” tab.
  5. Locate the “MAC Address”, it will be in a format similar to this “00:11:22:33:DD:EE”.
  6. You should now have the MAC address of your device and you’ll be able to add this to your ASK4 account.

iPhone Users:

  1. From the apps menu, go to “settings”.
  2. Click on “General”
  3. Select “About” and look for the “Wi-Fi Address”, it will be in a format similar to this “00:11:22:33:DD:EE”.
  4. You should now have the MAC address of your device and you’ll be able to add this to your ASK4 account.

Android Users:

  1. From the apps menu, click on “Settings”.
  2. Select “About Device” or “About Phone”.
  3. Click on “Status” or “Hardware Information”.
  4. Locate the “WiFi MAC Address”, it will be in a format similar to this “00:11:22:33:DD:EE”.
  5. You should now have the MAC address of your device and you’ll be able to add this to your ASK4 account.
